The Gala is SJA’s premier fundraising event which includes a Tricky Tray with hundreds of prizes valued anywhere from $50 to over $1,000.00, a 50/50 raffle and the ever-popular Moneyball drawing (a limited ticket raffle with a chance to win the grand prize of $10,000.00!).

This school year, Saint John’s Academy 26 Annual Red and White Gala will be held on March 19 , 2026. The event kicks off at 6:00pm and will once again be held at The Edgewood Country Club in River Vale, New Jersey.

The Gala is open to any adult over 21 years of age. No children are permitted, so be sure to make your babysitting arrangements.

Registration for tickets to the Gala will open early 2026. Tickets will be available online at the SJA website and live on school grounds (specific details on the ticket sales will be updated as the on-sale date approaches). Due to the popularity of this event in the community, the tickets traditionally sell out. There will be an exclusive presale for the families of Saint John’s Academy and their guests to ensure that our families have the opportunity to secure tickets before we open registration to the general public.

NO! While there are many prizes geared toward the ladies, such as jewelry and handbags, the Gala has prizes that appeal to the gentlemen as well, like sporting events, and outdoor gear. The Gala is a community event with something for everyone!

The Red and White Gala is the largest fundraising opportunity for Saint John’s Academy. The Gala is an upscale extravaganza with a gourmet cocktail hour, 3-course dinner and drinks, plus a chance to win hundreds of prizes. The Gala is a thrilling evening filled with laughter, companionship and the blessings of knowing that our children will reap the rewards of our collective efforts!

The Red and White Gala is a monumental collaborative with a dedicated team of parents that work hard to make this event possible! We are always looking for an extra hand in making the event a success. Opportunities include prize wrappers, prize runners, and other help the day of the event. Most importantly, you can help procure prizes – please let us know:

• If you own a business or know someone who does as we rely on business donations and sponsorships
• If you and some friends want to get together and donate a basket or prize
• If you would like to sponsor a prize or make a cash donation that the PTG will use to purchase an item

The Gala is a “Tricky Tray”, which is a basket raffle where attendees purchase raffle tickets and put them in bags near the items they wish to win. At the Gala, participants may purchase 3 different levels of raffle tickets: Red, White and Grand. Our Red Level Prizes are valued up to $299. The White Level Prizes are valued between $300-$999 and the Grand prizes are valued at over $1000!!!

Guests may divide and drop their tickets however they wish, so long as the correct level ticket matches the correct level prize bag (for example, Red tickets must be dropped for Red prizes only). The prizes will be divided into their 3 different categories and placed in sections around Edgewood Country Club. Participants will travel to each section and drop tickets in the bags next to the prizes they wish to win. As a tip, the more tickets you purchase for a certain prize, the higher the chances of winning the prize. At the end of the night, gala prize chairs will pick tickets from each prize bag, run the prizes to your table and, hopefully, you will go home with a prize! We have lots or prizes, as we wish to see almost  everyone have a chance to win!
