The theme for the National Catholic Schools Week is “Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service.” SJA will observe the annual celebration week with Masses, open houses and other activities for students, families, parishioners and community members.
Congratulations to Miss Ava Messina, recipient of the William Mundhenk Character Recognition Award, which acknowledges a student at St. John’s Academy for his or her good manners, respectful attitude, cooperation, generosity of time and talent, and good school spirit.
Although the pandemic forced cancellation of SJA’s annual walkathon, our students participated in a Virtual Fun Run — running around their yards and neighborhoods to raise over $10,000 for a cause close to our school community’s heart.
